Whipple Farm

Whipple Farm/ SUA NOLA

We are so thankful to our community partner, Whipple Farms, NOLA for so many things. They have been part of the building Solitary Gardens from our first till, until NOW. If you don’t know about the work they do to create conversations around the history of food apartheid and the absence of farmers of color on stolen land, check out their website here. You can also meet the lead farmer, Jamal Elhayek on our Behind The Shovels page. Currently, Whipple Farms is home to our hoop house (Thank you Tides Foundation) and through the generosity of many will hopefully someday be home to our Greenhouse! See images of Whipple and our seedlings below and again, THANK YOU Jamal!
